The Opportunity

Lead the development and integration of AI and Large Language Model (LLM)-driven capabilities to enhance decision support, workflow automation, and data-driven insights across employee relations domains.

 

  • Design and implement intelligent systems that support content understanding, summarization, sentiment interpretation, and predictive analytics
  • Architect and evolve retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines that leverage internal knowledge sources—such as case data, policies, and procedures—to enhance decision-making accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and refine prompt engineering strategies and evaluation methodologies to ensure high model performance, relevance, and explainability.
  • Embed responsible AI principles by prioritizing data privacy, security, and fairness in all AI-driven features, especially when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams - including with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to seamlessly embed AI into existing case management workflows and user experience.
  • Stay at the forefront of the GenAI landscape, continuously evaluating and incorporating emerging models and techniques from both commercial and open-source ecosystems.
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable MLOps infrastructure, enabling streamlined model lifecycle management, from training and deployment to monitoring and versioning.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Help shape AI/ML governance frameworks and model evaluation practices aligned with compliance and HR ethics.

Qualifications

Who you are as a professional:

You have expertise in applying natural language AI to business domains with structure, nuance, and sensitivity. You’re excited by the challenge of using LLMs to deliver clarity in moments of organizational complexity—making workplace investigations, employee complaints, and HR policies easier to navigate with intelligent tools.

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 10 years of substantial software or data engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in AI/ML and at least 2 years in LLM or advanced NLP 
  • Proven track record of deploying LLM-powered features in real-world applications, preferably within enterprise or compliance-intensive domains 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in LLM patterns, encompassing fine-tuning, prompt tuning, and RAG architectures 
  • Hands-on experience with platforms like OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc. 
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured HR data (documents, interviews, case notes, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and embedding techniques 
  • Proven track record in building AI/ML systems with MLOps practices—CI/CD for models, monitoring, drift detection, etc. 
  • Cloud-native mindset with hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP for efficient and scalable model deployment 
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals; proficient in Python and familiar with Go, TypeScript, or similar languages 
  • Deep knowledge of ethical AI concerns—especially fairness, auditability, and compliance in HR Tech contexts 
  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field; Doctorate degree is a plus

Compensation: The pay range for this position is expected to be between $210,000-$247,000/year base; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized, non-discriminatory factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position includes other incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, and equity. This position is annual bonus eligible with a total On Target Earnings (OTE) of $241,000-$284,500.  Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program, including health and wellness benefits, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
